Education

​2016 : Angels, Costume House 

Angels is a supplier of costumes based in London, England to the film, theatre and television industries, as well as to the general public. The company, founded in 1840, is the longest-established costume supplier in the world, and has supplied costumes to 37 films that have received Best Costume Oscars, including the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland and, most recently, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

     - Costume Renovation : Restoration and preservation of historical costumes (from 1922 to 1980’s). A valuable experience in a grant costume house, working on a large variety of costume from historical reenactment right through modern fancy dress costume.

​

    - Alteration Room : After this costume renovation intership, I've been fortunate to being call back for a probation period as a part of the Alteration team. I am now a permanent part of Angels Costume House.

2016 : Costume designer & maker - Hathaway, Eight Arias For A Bardic Life Opera : 

Designing and making of a 1616’s woman dress. Short Opera on Anne Hathaway taking place the day after the death of her husband, William Shakespeare.

Buxton Festival and Copenhagen Opera Festival summer 2016.

2016 : Wedding Dress  Alteration of a Lillian West wedding dress to the bride measurments and expetations.

2016 : Costume Designer and Maker - Maria de Buenos Aires, a surreal Tango Operita : Designing, making and altering of 6 main characters and 12 dancers costumes for the Tango Opera : Maria de Buenos Aires, taking place in The Vault, Waterloo.

A curious universe : Joyful and colorful (Tango and Cabaret inspirations) on the fist part, Dark and ugly (in progress man to crow transformation) for the second half.

 

 

2016 : Costume Maker - My cousin Rachel, movie : Costume making of 1840' countryside dresses for the movie "My Cousin Rachel" staring Rachel Weisz, coming in cinema 2017.

 

 

2016 : Costume Assistant - "The sound of Fear" short-movie « The Sound of Fear » is a funny take on the importance of the music to a film and how soundtrack choices shape the audience’s emotions. The film also serves as a metaphor for depression.Sourcing 70’ s clothes, fitting, alterations and dressing on set.

2016 : Dresser - Secret Cinema, Dr. Strangelove & 28 Days Later projects : 

Secret Cinema is a British events company specialising in Live Cinema experiences, combining film screenings with interactive performances in purpose-built sets.

2016 : Costume Designer and Maker - Cie Opera Integra : Macbeth of Verdi, designing and making of nineteen headpieces/masks inspired by Chessgame (realised in wire netting and fabric) and witches (made in wire netting, wigs, checkens bones, feathers...).

 

 

2014 : Costume Consultant - Ecole Marie Pape-Carpantier : Workshop with children (aged 6 to 11) to create handcrafted carnival costumes. Manager in charge of a team : directing; organising and planning sessions in order to fulfill success educational criteria. Managing the day to day running of the wardrobe and collating materials in accordance with budget.

 

 

2014 : Costume Designer and Maker - Cie Concept 22 : Theatre performance needing an inflating costume (size 40 to size 48). The transformation had to take between 1 and 2 minutes and be seen by the audience whilst actors continued to perform on stage.Creating character design (in consultation with producer and actor), technical research (plastics materials, electronics components, stretch fabrics and seams...), making of the prosthetics and costumes. Backstage wardrobe maintenance and dressing actors.

 

 

2014 : Costume Maker - Arte TV Paris : Casual costumier for the TV film « Deux »; researching and making of the 20s lingerie including lace, satin and cotton embroideries.

 

 

2013 : Costume Maker - Avignon Opera House : Co-production project between Avignon Opera and “Centre de musique baroque de Versaille” on the “Tancrède” opera of André Campra. Costume making of 18th century waistcoats, coats and shirts, alterations of accessories. Designing the toilles for « Monsieur Choufleurie » project.

 

 

2013 : Costume Cutter and Maker - Cie Malabar : Work placement of four months, patterns cutting and costume making of the

« Helidra » project. An European project inspired by medieval fantasy fashion with plastazote amours and leather clothing.

 

 

2011 : Costume Designer and Maker - Cie Gestion Solidaria : Work placement of three months into a social awareness company using theatre to highlight issues. Sole costume designer and maker, also in charge of the wardrobe maintenance and alterations. Learning professional use of Spanish language.

Work Experiences

From 2007 to present : Comission work for cosplay (costumes and prop transposition of fictionnal characters (video games, cartoons, comics heros...) for real actors). Consulting, designing and creating bespoke pieces for competitions and live action role-playing games.

 

From 2011 to present : Competition organiser and judge for Cosplay shows - A science fiction themed performance showcasing costume design and creation. Founder member and secretary of Yumeji, an association based in Montpellier.
